Affiliate Programme Terms

These terms govern participation in the FurTag Affiliate Programme. This is not a substitute for legal advice. Programme terms should be reviewed by a solicitor before production launch.

1. Programme overview

Affiliates promote FurTag using a unique tracking link or code. This is separate from the customer Refer-a-Friend programme. Affiliate accounts are light partner accounts and are not FurTag customer accounts.

2. Application and approval

Applications are subject to approval. We may approve, reject, pause, or terminate an affiliate account at our discretion, including for misleading promotion or policy breaches.

3. Commissions

  • Tag hardware orders: 10% of the paid order total (default; may vary by agreement).
  • Protect subscription: 20% of each paid subscription invoice for 12 months from customer attribution (default; may vary by agreement).
  • No commission on zero-value invoices, refunded amounts, or clawed-back charges.
  • Commissions are held for 30 days before becoming payable, then paid via Stripe Transfer to the affiliate's connected Stripe Express account (bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by FurTag).

4. Attribution

Last-touch attribution applies within a 90-day window before the customer registers. Affiliate attribution and customer Refer-a-Friend rewards are mutually exclusive for the same customer.

5. Disclosure (UK advertising rules)

Affiliates must clearly disclose commercial relationships in line with ASA/CAP and CMA guidance — for example labelling content as “Ad” or “Advertisement”. Both FurTag and the affiliate share responsibility for compliant promotions.

6. Cookies and tracking

Optional affiliate tracking cookies are only set with visitor consent. First-party browser storage may also be used to credit partners at registration.

7. Tax

Affiliates are responsible for their own tax affairs (typically self-employed / trading income for UK individuals). FurTag does not provide tax advice.
